Man acts in self defense during stabbing on Sawyer St.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) \u2013 Officers with the Rochester Police Department received reports of a stabbing Friday evening on Sawyer Street near Wellington Avenue in Rochester. When they arrived to the scene, officers located a 61-year-old man from Rochester who had at least one stab wound to his lower body.<\/p>\n

According to the RPD, the investigation revealed this was a domestic menacing where the suspect menaced the victim with a hammer during an argument.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe victim of the menacing, a 30-year-old male, acted in self-defense when he stabbed the suspect,\u201d officers said. \u201cThe victim of the menacing was uninjured.\u201d<\/p>\n

Officers took the suspect into custody and had AMR take the suspect to Strong Memorial Hospital.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

16-year-old shot by victim during armed robbery in Soulard<\/strong><\/p>\n

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Police say a 16-year-old was shot in the chest as he and three other suspects attempted an armed robbery early Saturday in Soulard.<\/p>\n

Following the incident, the male juvenile was dropped off at an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition, according to St. Louis Metropolitan Police.<\/p>\n

Officers were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. Saturday to the area of 9th Street and Russell Avenue for a report of shots fired.<\/p>\n

The victims, two 24-year-old men, told police they were sitting in their vehicle when they were approached by four males wearing ski masks.<\/p>\n

Two of the suspects stood behind the vehicle brandishing a firearm, as the juvenile reached into an open vehicle window and began taking items from the victims, according to police.<\/p>\n

When one of the suspects tried opening a passenger door, one of the victims shot the juvenile as the juvenile was reaching through the window.<\/p>\n

The suspects then fled the scene in a white SUV. Police said the juvenile suspect was dropped off at the hospital, where officers collected a ski mask as evidence.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
