Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor\u2019s bodyguards shoot would-be carjacker outside her home<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nTwo deputy US Marshals shot a would-be carjacker who pulled a gun on him while they were guarding Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor\u2019s home in Washington, DC, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The marshals were parked outside Sotomayor\u2019s home in northwest DC on July 5 when Kentrell Flowers, 18, allegedly walked up to one of their cars around 1:15 a.m. and pointed a gun one of the federal agents, the US Marshals Service told The Post.<\/p>\n

One of the federal agents drew his weapon and fired several shots at the suspect, with the second officer also firing his weapon at Flowers.<\/p>\n

Flowers, of Southeast DC, was arrested and treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.<\/p>\n

Man injured after shootout during attempted carjacking in Hickory Hill, MPD says<\/strong><\/p>\n

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A man was injured after a shootout during an attempted carjacking at a Hickory Hill gas station late Sunday night, police said.<\/p>\n

The man’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Memphis Police said it all started after the man went inside the BP gas station near East Shelby Drive and Hickory Hill Road to get some food. As he walked back to his Dodge Charger, an armed suspect pointed a gun at him and said, “Give me your keys and car,” police said.<\/p>\n

That was when the car owner pulled out his own firearm from his hip and fired up to six shots at the suspect, police said. The man told investigators that he believes he shot the suspect in the face and that the suspect fired as many as 25 shots at him.<\/p>\n

The owner of the Charger then got back in his car and left, police said.<\/p>\n

MPD said the car owner later flagged down an officer after getting into a crash. He was found with a gunshot wound to his behind and was taken to a hospital with non-critical injuries, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
