POLICE: Man killed after threatening driver, homeowner in D\u2019Iberville<\/strong><\/p>\n

D\u2019IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) – D\u2019Iberville Police said they found a man dead from a single gunshot wound Thursday night on the driveway of a home on Gorenflo Road in D\u2019Iberville.<\/p>\n

Deputy Chief Marty Griffin has identified the deceased man as 53-year-old Alton Eugene Parker, of D\u2019Iberville.<\/p>\n

Griffin said the events leading up to Parker\u2019s death began on Rodriguez Street around 8:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

Officials said Parker was in a blue pickup truck and threatened another driver on Rodriguez and Automall Parkway.<\/p>\n

As the other driver was traveling, Parker fired two shots. Neither the unidentified driver nor his vehicle were struck.<\/p>\n

While police were investigating that first shooting, officers received another call of a shooting at a home on Gorenflo Road.<\/p>\n

When police arrived, Parker was found dead on the driveway. During their investigation, police said they learned Parker had previously threatened the homeowner.<\/p>\n

The homeowner and several others were taken to the police department for questioning. After interviews were completed and surveillance video from the area was reviewed, police said Parker arrived at the home with a firearm and displayed it in a threatening manner.<\/p>\n

Deputy Chief Griffin said the homeowner shot Parker with a single bullet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nA shooting in south Birmingham left two people dead, and at least one other injured.<\/p>\n

Multiple shots rang out about 11 a.m. Friday in the 4400 block of Fifth Avenue South. That location is the Oak Tree Apartments.<\/p>\n

One man was pronounced dead in the parking lot. He was on the ground next to a work van, still wearing a black mask.<\/p>\n

Two others were rushed to UAB Hospital where a second man was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

A third person sustained non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Both men who were killed were wearing black nylon face masks, similar to the mask often worn by rapper Pooh Sheisty.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe all of this stemmed from a robbery gone wrong,\u2019\u2019 said Officer Truman Fitzgerald. \u201cTwo of the victims both have ski masks on, the Pooh Sheisty mask.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe the third non-life-threatening victim may have shot them in attempted robbery,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
