\nShreveport police chased the man for hours before finding him hiding inside an unaware neighbor\u2019s dryer.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nSHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport police found an on-the-run burglary suspect hiding in a neighbor\u2019s dryer Friday morning.<\/p>\n

On June 14 at 5:10 a.m., the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) responded to a shots fired report on W Canal Street in the Sunset Acres neighborhood.<\/p>\n

When SPD officers got there, they found a homeowner had reportedly fired shots at a man who allegedly was trying to steal something from her yard.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe went to the lady across the street yard to get his backpack he had stashed over there and rode over there to get the equipment. I ran up on him and said, \u2018Where my s*** at?\u2019 He dropped his bike and I fired my arm,\u201d said Rochelle Baylor, the homeowner.<\/p>\n

Baylor says she shot at the burglar about five or six times.<\/p>\n

The suspect had called his parents to come get him while he was on the run, having assumed he was shot.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe owner took shots at the suspect. He ended up calling his mom to come get him so we ended up chasing him for miles,\u201d said Lt. Shawn Hurd with SPD.<\/p>\n

SPD chased the man for hours before finding him hiding inside an unaware neighbor\u2019s dryer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was in there reading my Bible and seen these police come up the driveway and went in the back,\u201d said James Wall, the man whose dryer the suspect was found hiding inside. \u201cWe have some problems like this every once and a while, but none like this. It was like the whole police force showed up.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
