Attempted robbery near Auburn Walmart goes awry, victim shoots at suspects<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAn attempted robbery near a Walmart in Auburn turned into an exchange of gunfire Tuesday morning, prompting a massive police response.<\/p>\n

At approximately 3 a.m., a woman was approached by two suspects, armed with guns, as she was sitting in her truck in a parking lot located at 762 Outlet Collection Way.<\/p>\n

When the two robbery suspects approached her, they demanded she hand over her valuables. Instead, she pulled out a gun and fired at the suspects.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Reno police say fatal shooting Wednesday on Comstock Drive was self-defense<\/strong><\/p>\n

A man was shot to death Wednesday in northwest Reno in what police called self-defense by the shooter.<\/p>\n

Reno police responded at 2:48 p.m. to the 3400 block of Comstock Drive where two men were fighting and a shot was fired.<\/p>\n

The gunshot victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The shooter remained at the scene and cooperated with police, according to a news release.<\/p>\n

The robbery\/homicide unit responded and determined the shooting was justified as self-defense.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
