Car break-in suspect shot by apartment owner in Antioch, police say<\/strong>
\nPolice said two people were seen on surveillance footage attempting to break into cars.<\/em><\/p>\n

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Metro Nashville Police Department is investigating a shooting involving reported car break-ins on Mountain High Drive in Antioch.<\/p>\n

The shooting happened at about 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Police said an apartment owner said he heard or saw something that he thought was someone attempting to break into cars.<\/p>\n

Two people were seen on surveillance footage attempting to break into cars. Police said the apartment owner went out with a gun to confront the persons and shot at them with an AR-15.<\/p>\n

The person, suspected of breaking into cars, was also armed and didn\u2019t get a chance to pull his gun to return fire, according to police.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the person who had been shot in a nearby dumpster. Officers rendered aid and said that the person was stable. Officers took the rifle as evidence. The apartment owner has yet to be charged with the shooting.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man shot during burglary in process at Kissimmee home: deputies<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nKISSIMMEE, Fla. – A man was shot during a burglary in progress at a house in Kissimmee on Tuesday, according to deputies.<\/p>\n

David Martinez-Estrada, 28, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, unarmed burglary to an occupied dwelling, stalking and resisting arrest without violence, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

Deputies responded to a burglary in process at a home on Royal Palm Drive in Kissimmee on Tuesday and made contact with the suspect, later identified as Martinez-Estrada, who was already inside the home, according to the sheriff’s office.<\/p>\n

They asked Martinez-Estrada to leave the house, but he allegedly “failed to comply and continued to go further into the residence,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release.<\/p>\n

Moments later, deputies said they heard shots fired and Martinez-Estrada left the house saying he’d just been shot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
