Robertson, 32, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday on two counts of attempted second-degree murder and charges of aggravated criminal damage to property, illegal use of dangerous instrumentalities, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, simple battery, flight from an officer, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n<p>According to the police account, reports indicate that Robertson had approached the victim in the area of Fifth Street. After a verbal altercation, Robertson struck the victim when a struggle ensued.<\/p>\n<p>Robertson then allegedly retreated to his vehicle and brandished a firearm. At the time, the victim was with a small child. Lombard Avenue for a burglary of a motor vehicle where two chainsaws, valued at about $200 each, were stolen, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>A short time later, an Oak Brook police officer located a vehicle suspected to be involved in the burglary near 31st Street and Midwest Club Parkway.<\/p>\n<p>When the officer began following the vehicle, a gold minivan, the driver, later identified as Moore, allegedly began driving into oncoming traffic near 39th Street and Glendenning Road, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>The officer then activated his emergency lights and sirens. At that time, Moore allegedly fled from the officer.<\/p>\n<p>During the pursuit, Moore allegedly reached speeds of about 120 mph on Interstate 55, where he nearly struck a motorcyclist, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n<p>He then reached about 100 mph in a 35 mph zone on Ogden Avenue.
