Fatal shooting at Houston apartment complex to be reviewed by grand jury<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOUSTON, Texas \u2014 A fatal shooting that occurred at 1441 Wood Hollow Drive around 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, is set to be referred to a Harris County grand jury. The identity of the deceased male is yet to be confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.<\/p>\n

The shooter, a 34-year-old male, was unharmed in the incident. According to reports from HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective A. Hernandez, HPD patrol officers arrived at the scene to find Houston Fire Department paramedics providing medical assistance to an unresponsive man with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the apartment complex. The man was later transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

The investigation revealed that the deceased had knocked on the door of an apartment and, after several minutes, the tenant opened the door. The tenant informed the man that he was at the wrong apartment, at which point the man pulled out a gun. Fearing for his own safety and that of a witness, the tenant, who was also armed, fired his weapon multiple times at the man.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Two in custody after deadly apartment shooting in North Houston | CW39 Houston<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOUSTON (KIAH) \u2013 Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to a shooting at the 1400 block of W. Gulf Bank around 12:30 a.m. this morning. Upon arrival, they found a male shot dead just inside an apartment. According to HPD, the victim walked up to the home and walked right by the two people standing in front. They asked him what he was doing and then forcibly tried to remove him from the apartment. One of the homeowners had a gun and shot the suspected home invader.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
