Sheriff: Man shot in knee after assaulting son, neighbor<\/strong>
\nInvestigators now say the “victim” was actually the aggressor<\/em><\/p>\n

Investigators now say the shooting Thursday evening on Vulcan Lane in Harrison was a case of self-defense.<\/p>\n

And the \u201cvictim\u201d has now been charged, himself.<\/p>\n

Hamilton County investigators said that Gregory Burnett had actually assaulted his son and a neighbor.<\/p>\n

He was then shot in the knee in self-defense.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

1 dead after shooting inside local home; homicide investigation launched<\/strong><\/p>\n

DAYTON \u2014 A man is dead after a shooting in Dayton Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Around 3 p.m. Dayton police and medics were called to the first block of West Norman Avenue for reports of shots fired, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived on scene they found a man dead inside of the home, according to Sgt. Creigee Coleman with Dayton Police Department.

\nA neighbor spoke to News Center 7 anonymously about what she saw, she asked to be referred to as \u201cD.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cD\u201d said she was sitting on her porch when she saw cruisers line up in front of the home.<\/p>\n

She said a father and son live there, and while police were investigating, the son joined her on the porch to say what happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe told me somebody had broken into the house,\u201d she said. \u201cThen he said that next thing he knew the the dude was sitting in his dad\u2019s bed.\u201d \u201cD\u201d said.<\/p>\n

She said the son told her the man said something to the dad and then the shooting happened.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
