Woman Shoots Intruder Who Broke Into Her Home While She and Her Granddaughter Watched Taylor Swift \u2018Eras\u2019 Film<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI would have given everything I had, including my life, to do what I had to do to protect my granddaughter,\u201d Anissa Tinnin tells Inside Edition.<\/p>\n

A New Mexico grandmother shot an intruder who broke into her home as she and her granddaughter were watching Taylor Swift\u2019s concert movie.<\/p>\n

Anissa Tinnin, 49, says she and her 4-year-old granddaughter were watching the Taylor Swift \u201cEras\u201d tour film when an intruder appeared in the dining room of her home in Albuquerque.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou do what you have to do to protect yourself and your family,\u201d Tinnin tells Inside Edition. \u201cHe told me that he would kill myself and my granddaughter if I didn\u2019t do what he wanted me to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Authorities say the intruder was fleeing police after crashing a stolen vehicle. Once he was inside Tinnin\u2019s home, the suspect grabbed car keys out of a bowl and ran out.<\/p>\n

Tinnin called 911. She could be heard trying to calm her granddaughter while on the phone with the operators.<\/p>\n

The intruder went back to the house and Tinnin grabbed her gun. She warned the intruder to \u201cget back\u201d before shooting him in the abdomen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
