{"id":15608,"date":"2009-11-14T11:20:01","date_gmt":"2009-11-14T16:20:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=15608"},"modified":"2009-11-14T11:20:01","modified_gmt":"2009-11-14T16:20:01","slug":"the-ptsd-foregone-conclusion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=15608","title":{"rendered":"The PTSD foregone conclusion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of our readers, Jerry, sends along a link to<a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/MindMoodNews\/fort-hood-shooting-puts-spotlight-soldiers-suffering-post\/story?id=9055082\"> an ABC article<\/a> about Post Tramatic Stress Disorder;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/abc-ptsd.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15609\" title=\"abc-ptsd\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/abc-ptsd.jpg\" alt=\"abc-ptsd\" width=\"500\" height=\"139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/abc-ptsd.jpg 615w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/abc-ptsd-300x83.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, I&#8217;m all in favor of anything that puts &#8220;the spotlight&#8221; on PTSD in our military community, but there&#8217;s absolutely no evidence that the Fort Hood incident had anything to do with PTSD, but ABC is bound and determine to make it a foregone conclusion in the discussion;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In the wake of the shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, Nov. 5, that left 13 people dead, allegedly at the hands of a fellow soldier, Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, soldiers who struggle with stress like Swain, have come back into the spotlight.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I cannot understand why it&#8217;s so hard to say the words that Hasan is another jihadist, or that Hasan is another disgruntled employee, or that Hasan wasn&#8217;t wired correctly.
