Ella Emhoff \u2014 whose father is\u00a0second gentleman Doug Emhoff\u00a0\u2014 debuted her knit pieces, which she said marks her transition out of the fashion world and into her new phase of life as an artist.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis new art form kind of was birthed out of my knitwear, where I started kind of playing around with this duplicate stitch technique,\u201d Emhoff, 24, told The Post during her reception at Gotham NYC, billed as a \u201cwoman-owned legal cannabis concept store on the Bowery.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I found that no one really wanted to wear all of this stuff, because it\u2019s kind of crazy and loud, but they liked looking at it. So then I just started experimenting. And now I\u2019m here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vice President Kamala Harris\u2019 stepdaughter opened her textile exhibition Thursday at a cannabis store on the Lower East Side \u2014 where she peddled knit portraits for several thousand dollars.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Let me make sure I have this sorted – a child of one of the top two people in our political hierarchy selling “special” art from a drug-related\u00a0 enterprise for exorbitant prices. Yep, rings familiar.<\/p>\n

Lockets, flowers, a puppy and a purse with a cookie emblem were among the textiles, as well as a portrait of a perplexed-looking woman named Bailey.<\/p>\n

Emhoff\u2019s two self-portraits were among the most popular with the crowd \u2014 and the most expensive.<\/p>\n

A close-up of Emhoff\u2019s bright red nose and freckly forehead had a striking $5,500 price tag attached.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Having looked at some of her ‘fashions’ that popped up when I did a search for her fashion designs, I think the lateral move makes sense. Lots of sense.<\/p>\n

Harris\u2019 stepdaughter was also asking for $4,500 for a textile of two heart-shaped Gucci hairclips \u2014 a 1,400% markup from the designer accessories after which they were modeled.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by nearly 400 people, many of whom identified themselves as knitting hobbyists \u2014 and about half of whom were described as \u201cqueer\u201d by one viewer.<\/p>\n

Emhoff declined to address rumors the exhibition was a fundraiser for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, a controversial anti-Israel organization which she caught fire for publicly supporting just last month. NY Post<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One suspects she may have looked to another Presidential offspring as an example.<\/p>\n
