Ah, yes, those halcyon days when Trump was accused of election meddling and St. Joe’s folks rained down hellfire and damnation on the government interfering AT ALL in an election.<\/p>\n
Well, we have seen the FBI weaponized, the IRS weaponized, education subverted to preach leftist propaganda – Biden hasn’t missed many tricks.<\/p>\n
“On March 19, 2024, the SBA announced a new voter registration Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Michigan Department of State,” a letter from the Republican led Committee on Small Business wrote to Biden\u2019s Small Business Administration this week.<\/p>\n
“The Committee is concerned about the lack of constitutional and statutory authority allowing the SBA to engage in activities beyond its mission, including voting access and registration activities. It appears that this is an attempt to improperly involve the federal government in America\u2019s electoral processes. Elections are for the American people to engage in, not for federal agencies to interfere with during an election year.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
“Hey, mister, got some funds for your community. Nice place here, sure would be a shame for anything to happen to it. Oh, and we have lots of new Small Business funding for you – just be sure to tell them Joe provided it and it sure would be neighborly to vote for Joe this time.”<\/p>\n
In March of this year, the SBA announced a memorandum of understanding with the Michigan Department of State to “promote civic engagement and voter registration in Michigan” that it called the “first-of-its-kind collaboration” and which will run through Jan. 1, 2036.<\/p>\n
“It is inconceivable why Michigan \u2013 a state with a registered voting population above the national average \u2013 is where SBA found a need to use taxpayer resources to register more Michigan voters,” the letter states. “Additionally, the timing of this MOU\u2019s announcement is suspicious. The SBA made this announcement while President Biden\u2019s campaign directs its attention toward Michigan, a key battleground state for his re-election efforts.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Now in Mississippi the concern is with whom they are engaging to recruit voters:<\/p>\n
Last month, the state’s Republican Secretary of State Michael Watson sent a letter to Biden’s Department of Justice demanding they stop efforts to register voters in federal prisons due to concerns that illegal immigrants and ineligible felons are being registered.<\/p>\n
Jason Snead, Honest Elections Project executive director, also told Fox News Digital he applauds the committee’s efforts investigating this unprecedented agreement.”<\/p>\n
“With Executive Order 14019, President Biden has ordered every federal agency to collaborate with liberal organizations to mobilize voters. The Administration is even using taxpayers\u2019 dollars to pay college students to turn out voters. This program raises serious concerns about the misuse and abuse of federal agencies for political gain, and the public deserves answers.” Fox News<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Biden even has an Executive Order enabling the government to ‘get out the vote working with non-profits…guess whose?<\/p>\n
“With Executive Order 14019, President Biden turned the entire federal government into a get-out-the-vote operation, and agencies are collaborating with left-wing nonprofit groups to get the job done.”<\/p>\n
Hans A. von Spakovsky is a senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation\u2019s Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies who serves as manager of the think tank\u2019s Election Law Reform Initiative. He told Fox News Digital the taxpayer-funded effort is an “outrageous abuse of power” by the Biden administration.<\/p>\n
“This is the unauthorized use of taxpayer funds to get out the vote for the Biden campaign and Democratic candidates,” he said. “It is a violation of the Hatch Act as well as the Anti-Deficiency Act. It is an outrageous abuse of power.”\u00a0 Fox News II<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Geez, back in 2000 they even got into mindreading – “oh, that is a hanging chad so it MUST be a vote for Gore! I am sure that’s what the voter meant!” This isn’t even THAT innocuous.<\/p>\n
