Well, that was fast. President Biden says the US Government will pay the cost to rebuild the Francis Scott Key bridge in Baltimore…seems he has traveled over it many times on his way to or back from home in\u00a0 Delaware, whether driving or by train.<\/p>\n

“At about 1:30 [a.m. Tuesday], a container ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which I\u2019ve been over many, many times commuting from the state of Delaware either on a train or by car,” the president said. Fox News<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Only one tiny problem with that…this was a cars-only bridge. No rails. No trains.\u00a0 Biden wanders further into Senilityland daily. Don’t get all holy about it, Trump ain’t much better as far as I can tell.<\/p>\n

Next up, on the other side of the fence – WaPo says the new Trump-installed RNC management is using\u00a0 “was the 2020 election stolen?” as a litmus test of new hires in an article on Salon.<\/p>\n

The Army is falling over itself to investigate an Instagram post which purportedly shows a 20th Special Forces Group National Guard troop with an SS Totenkopf-style patch on his helmet.<\/p>\n

The 20th Special Forces Group, headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, posted the photo Sunday along with the caption, \u201cThat weekend feeling. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Don\u2019t stop training. Don\u2019t get complacent.\u201d Military Times<\/a><\/p>\n

Maj. Russell Gordon, a spokesperson for the 1st Special Forces Command, confirmed that 3rd Special Forces Group elements formerly used the \u201cunofficial\u201d emblem, which was \u201cbanned in 2022 by 3rd Special Forces Group leadership when it was brought to their attention.\u201d\u00a0 Army Times<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Let’s close with that essential bastion of\u00a0 military preparedness, the Right to Abortion when\/where\/how the poor downtrodden ‘person carrying fetus’ or whatever the currently acceptable term to the wokerati may be. The administration screamed that we MUST maintain that right, and instituted a travel compensation policy to repay preggers women to travel to abortion-friendly locales as a MILITARY NECESSITY. Guess they thought the Pentagon would be flooded with tales of woe and heartbreak by all those women needing to be repaid if they had to go out of state for an abortion when the state of their duty assignment didn’t allow it.\u00a0 No doubt a divisional deployment would be cancelled when 10,000 bursting-bellied ladies who really wanted<\/em> to go, but were forced not to by a lack of availability to flush their unwanteds. Tripped off a hell of a pissing contest with SEN. Tommy Tuberville who held up multiple promotions over it, too (still haven’t seen any impact on preparedness from that, but it’s hard to see that particular snowball in the blizzard of relieved-from-commanders.)<\/p>\n
