1 Man Dead After Deputy-Involved Shooting In Hudson<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nPASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A man is dead, and a Pasco deputy is being evaluated at the hospital following a deputy-involved shooting in Hudson on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Around 5:30 p.m., a Pasco Sheriff’s deputy recognized the suspect, identified as Paul Smith, 40, as being wanted in a battery by strangulation case, in addition to Smith having a significant criminal history of violence.<\/p>\n

The deputy instructed Smith to get out of the car, but he did not comply.<\/p>\n

Instead, Smith started to speed and drive recklessly away, with the deputy hanging from the open door of the car. The deputy instructed Smith to stop multiple times before the deputy deployed his taser.<\/p>\n

After the deployment of the taser, the deputy warned Smith he would shoot if he did not stop the car.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 A man was shot Saturday night after allegedly forcing entry into a home near Baldwin Park, according to the Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Deputies responded around 8:50 p.m. to the 700 block of Eldridge Street, a statement reads.<\/p>\n

The man accused of forcing entry to the home suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital in stable condition, deputies said, adding the two parties know each other.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
