Man, 53, fatally shot on CTA bus after brandishing knife on West Side<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA 53-year-old man was fatally wounded Tuesday night on a CTA bus after he pulled out a knife and approached another rider, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

Shortly after 11 p.m., police responded to a person shot on a CTA bus in the 4400 block of West Division Street and found a man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body.<\/p>\n

A witness told police the man was waving a knife around and approached a rider who pulled out a weapon and opened fire before fleeing the scene.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Authorities release name of suspect who was fatally shot during home invasion near Blackfoot<\/strong><\/p>\n

A home invasion turned deadly for the intruder on Wednesday north of Blackfoot, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The Bingham County Sheriff’s Office said the elderly female homeowner fatally shot the adult male suspect during the home invasion that occurred around noon at a residence at 134 West 600 North in the Rose area.<\/p>\n

The elderly woman suffered injuries during the incident and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital. She’s expected to survive, the Sheriff’s Office said. Her name hasn’t been released.<\/p>\n

“She was harmed but protected herself,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a Wednesday news release.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
