Remember Jack Texeira? He was the Air Force computer tech who illicitly accessed, copied, and posted thousands of pages of classified information online. At least in chain-of-command terms, his arrest may have caused record fallout – not only was pretty much his entire chain of command relieved, even his unit was removed from the mission they were working.<\/p>\n

A defense official confirmed to ABC News that Teixeira remains on active duty in the Air Force and could face U.S. military charges after the civilian criminal charges have been adjudicated. As a Massachusetts Air National guardsman, he had been placed on Title 10 active duty status in the Air Force, which would determine if Teixeira should also face military criminal charges.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On this set of charges alone, his guilty plea makes him eligible for a 16 year sentence of which he must serve 11. Note in the quoted paragraph that he hasn’t even faced a military court yet. Here’s hoping for life.\u00a0 ABC<\/a><\/p>\n

And of course we all are familiar with the raging debate about whether a baby is REALLY born male, female, or some version of confused. Biologically, as far as I know the norm runs to XX chromosomes or XY – with the very few outliers so rare as to hardly count.<\/p>\n

A West Virginia bill that would outlaw non-binary gender designations on birth certificates is headed to the desk of Gov. Jim Justice<\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The Republican governor hasn’t spoken publicly about the bill. Justice, who is running for U.S. Senate, previously signed laws restricting gender-affirming care for minors and transgender children’s participation in sports.<\/p>\n

The state’s only LGBTQ+ advocacy organization, Fairness West Virginia, opposes the legislation, calling it discriminatory.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Me, I think you are one or the other, and whatever you choose to be or want to screw is neither any business of mine nor worth making a fuss over and I applaud WV for codifying it. I was surprised to see that a dozen states disagree (bet naming 10 out of 12 would not be much of a challenge.)<\/p>\n

West Virginia doesn’t currently allow non-binary gender markers on birth certificates. The bill\u2019s sponsor, Republican Del. Chris Pritt, said he wanted to ensure the state doesn\u2019t start offering the option in the future.<\/p>\n

Non-binary people identify as not strictly male or female. At least a dozen states offer some form of third gender ID on birth certificates.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Go ahead, claim your kid is some form of other. Be prepared to pay for a DNA test proving it, though, or just put up with the normal cameltoe\/dingledangle split the rest of us have for the last few eons.<\/p>\n

In an 8-0 vote, the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC) green-lit regulations that prohibit gas-powered lawn and garden equipment from being used on public property statewide.<\/p>\n
