Woman fatally stabs convicted sex offender who tried to attack her at Louisiana laundromat: authorities<\/strong>

\nA twice-convicted sex offender was stabbed to death at a laundromat in Louisiana by a woman he was allegedly trying to assault, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m., on Sunday, March 3, after deputies were dispatched for a 911 call to a laundromat in the Lacombe-area.<\/p>\n

According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff\u2019s Office, Nicholas Tranchant, 40, was found unresponsive with a visible stab wound and taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.<\/p>\n

Deputies stated that an investigation into the incident revealed that Tranchant, a known convicted sex offender, had entered the laundromat armed with a sharp weapon and was attempting to sexually assault the woman when she fought back.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mr. Tranchant was released into the wild last December and was required to register as a sex offender. So there’s that.<\/p>\n

\nST. LOUIS \u2013 A violent altercation overnight at a south St. Louis QuikTrip ends with a security guard shooting and killing a suspect after police say the suspect shot the guard. It all happened about midnight at Gravois and Chippewa in the Dutchtown neighborhood.<\/p>\n

The store is back open after being closed for several hours overnight. Authorities rushed to the scene right about midnight. This Monday morning, St. Louis police told FOX 2 that there was some sort of disturbance inside the QT and the armed security guard was escorting the suspect out, who was apparently causing the trouble.<\/p>\n

Police shared that at some point there was a struggle between the suspect and the guard. Investigators added that the suspect was able to grab the security guard\u2019s gun and shoot him in the leg. After the guard was shot, police revealed that the struggle continued between the suspect and the security guard. We\u2019re told the security guard was able to get his gun back and shoot the suspect in the head, killing him.<\/p>\n

Police said that the security guard was taken to the hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
