DC driver fights off knife-wielding woman in attempted carjacking<\/strong>

\nA driver in Washington, D.C., fought off a would-be carjacker who jumped inside the car and threatened them with a knife over the weekend, authorities said, as carjackings in the city so far this year keep up with last year\u2019s record-shattering numbers.<\/p>\n

The female suspect tried to carjack the driver around 10 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Kennedy Street Northwest as the victim was sitting in the running car, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department said.<\/p>\n

The unidentified suspect entered the vehicle and pulled a knife on the driver before demanding that the victim leave the vehicle, according to police.<\/p>\n

The victim fought back to stop the woman from stealing the car, police said.<\/p>\n

The victim suffered a minor injury while the suspect fled the scene.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Woman\u2019s ex-boyfriend kicks in apartment door; woman shoots him: Mobile Police<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) \u2014 A man is in the hospital after he broke into a woman\u2019s apartment, leading the woman to shoot him, according to the Mobile Police Department.<\/p>\n

A news release said officers were called to The Estates at Lafayette Square Tuesday around 12:30 a.m. for a report of a domestic complaint involving a burglary.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they found that the woman\u2019s ex-boyfriend had allegedly shown up at the apartment armed with a gun and \u201cforcibly kicked in her door,\u201d the MPD release said.<\/p>\n

The woman grabbed a gun and fired, injuring the ex-boyfriend, according to the release.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
