\nBinx, an outdoor cat, didn\u2019t hesitate to spring into action to save Oakley, a small Havenese pup<\/em><\/p>\n

\nA Havanese pup in Edmond, Oklahoma, owes his life to the family cat \u2014 who chased off two coyotes mid-attack on Dec. 1.<\/p>\n

The dramatic rescue was captured by the family\u2019s outdoor surveillance camera.<\/p>\n

Lane Dyer, the homeowner, shared the footage and the remarkable story with Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

On the night of the incident, Dyer said he had just let the family’s small dog, Oakley, outside to do her business while he tended to two other dogs inside the house. The dog was outside only for a moment when the family heard some commotion.<\/p>\n

“Oakley scampered in the house and ran upstairs,” Dyer said during a phone interview with Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

“She had been cut open on her chest and side and was bleeding profusely.”<\/p>\n

Dyer\u2019s wife wrapped up Oakley, put pressure on the wounds and rushed her to the emergency vet.<\/p>\n

“We had no idea what happened,” he said.<\/p>\n

On the ride to the vet, they pulled up the security footage and were shocked to see the attack \u2014 along with the act of bravery by their cat, Binx.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Manchester shooting death ruled self-defense, attorney general’s office says<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA 23-year-old man will not face charges for shooting and killing another man in April in Manchester because it was done in self-defense.<\/p>\n

The attorney general’s office said the shooting happened when a stranger, later identified as Rodney Yancey, 43, walked into a Bell Street apartment belonging to Roy Nagle’s girlfriend.<\/p>\n

Investigators said Nagle and the residents of the apartment repeatedly asked Yancey to leave, but he stayed on the porch after he was kicked off. Yancey then pulled a knife when Nagle shoved him after continuing to ask him to leave, investigators said.<\/p>\n

Despite several warnings, investigators said Yancey continued to walk toward Nagle.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
