(WGNO) \u2014 The Jefferson Parish Sheriff\u2019s Office is investigating a shooting that left a boy dead in Metairie on Tuesday, Nov. 21.<\/p>\n<p>Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto said deputies responded to a call of an unresponsive boy at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Lake Avenue around 10:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>NOPD investigating double homicide near Trem\u00e9 area<br \/>\nUpon arrival, Lopinto said deputies discovered he had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene after receiving treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Following an initial investigation and interviews at the scene, Lopinto said investigators believe the boy was shot during a fight over a gun with another juvenile.<\/p>\n<p>According to the JPSO, another juvenile that was in the room during the shooting \u201calleges that the decedent brandished a firearm and attempted to rob him, which is what led to the struggle over the firearm.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>1 \/ 0 \/ 0<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wgno.com\/news\/crime\/boy-killed-following-shooting-in-metairie\/\">WGNO<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Suspect shot by police after attempted robberies in Murfreesboro<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>By: Kendrick Wright, Alexandra Koehn<br \/>\nMURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) \u2014 44-year-old Steven James Murphy attempted to rob an armored truck operator at an ATM and a Jason&#8217;s Deli on North Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Murphy was shot at the Jason&#8217;s Deli by a Murfreesboro Police Department officer according to a spokesperson.
