\nA Wasatch County Sheriff\u2019s deputy shot and killed a man who threatened him with a \u201cblunt object\u201d after a chase, police said.<\/p>\n

According to the sheriff\u2019s officer, the deputy was pursuing a the man \u2014 who had an \u201cactive no-bail warrant\u201d out for his arrest \u2014 at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect evaded the stop, and the deputy pursued him until the suspect crashed his vehicle on Bench Creek Road in Wasatch County.<\/p>\n

According to police, the suspect got out of his vehicle and \u201cadvanced toward the deputy, wielding a large, blunt object.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nINDIANAPOLIS (WISH) \u2014 A man who police shot Friday morning near 38th Street and Keystone Avenue was in serious condition.<\/p>\n

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says it received a call around 11 a.m. Friday about a man who was acting erratic in the 3900 block of Caroline Avenue. That\u2019s just a few blocks east of the Indiana State Fairgrounds.<\/p>\n

IMPD Deputy Chief Michael Wolley said the man was firing a gun from inside a home near the intersection of Millersville Road and Caroline Avenue. \u201cEvidence indicates that there were two cars struck and then a home struck on the opposite side of the street.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police arrived and positioned themselves behind their patrol cars in an attempt to deescalate the situation.<\/p>\n

Officers asked the man to put his gun down and lie flat on the ground.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter the suspect was on the ground, officers requested the suspect stand up and walk toward them, while remaining behind their patrol cars. As officers continued to give verbal commands, the suspect stopped, turned away from the officers, and began rapidly moving in the direction where the firearm was located,\u201d Wolley said.<\/p>\n

He says officers yelled at the suspect to turn back around, but as he got closer to the gun one of them shot the man.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
