A man was shot by his son in an East Tennessee Children’s Hospital parking garage Wednesday night, according to the Knoxville Police Department.<\/p>\n

An investigation revealed that Matthew Green was actively assaulting a person in the parking garage at 2120 Clinch Avenue around 9:30 p.m. His son shot him in the leg after giving him multiple warnings to stop the assault, KPD said.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Cooper has been a criminal defense lawyer in Knoxville for 30 years. He said the 17-year-old son will likely not face any charges.<\/p>\n

“This incident that happened in the parking garage, very uncommon,” Cooper said. “I would say there’s probably certainly a legal defense that he would have to defend a third person.”<\/p>\n

Green was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was charged with domestic assault and aggravated kidnapping and will be taken into custody upon his release from the hospital, according to KPD.<\/p>\n

Officers also learned that charges were pending on Green in Oak Ridge after an ongoing domestic dispute involving him and his family on Tuesday, KPD said.<\/p>\n

Green also had a warrant out of Roane County for aggravated assault.<\/p>\n

Robert Downs, an attorney from Legal Aid, said if there’s danger a person can get an order of protection against someone else.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

ELMENDORF, Texas \u2013 A 17-year-old girl was shot to death by another teenage girl during an argument in Far Southeast Bexar County.<\/p>\n

The deadly shooting happened around 4 a.m. Thursday outside a home off Streich Road near Interstate 37.<\/p>\n

Deputies said when they arrived, they found the teenage victim with a gunshot wound to her chest. Paramedics treated her injuries at the scene, but she succumbed to her injuries.<\/p>\n

Investigators say the feud started between two groups and threats were exchanged on social media. A group of six people showed up to the Elmendorf home where an argument quickly escalated when weapons were pulled out.<\/p>\n

Deputies said the 15-year-old suspect took out a gun and fired a shot in the air. That’s when investigators say the 17-year-old girl began to approach her with a bat.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
