If they had already done the field trip portion of the class, they could gain an additional five points for this requirement by also participating in the student walkout. The walkout was intended as a statement against the &#8220;settler-colonial occupation of Gaza.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">From @AleResnik (Twitter):<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Hi everyone,<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re offering a field trip and\/or extra credit opportunity:<\/p>\n<p>(1) Students can attend the national student walkout tomorrow against the settler-colonial occupation of Gaza (info attached below) OR<\/p>\n<p>(2) Students can watch a short documentary on Palestine and call\/email your representative using this linktree.<\/p>\n<p>Doing so will either count as a field trip or an extra 5 points on the field trip category of your grade. Section 101\/102 students can email me (victoria.huynh@berkeley.edu) to let me know which option they choose, and a screenshot\/photo with proof of their participation.
