Alleged Hammer-Wielding Robber Targets Gun Store, Gets Shot Dead<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAn alleged hammer-wielding robber was shot and killed Sunday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. as he reportedly tried to rob a gun store and the store owner opened fire.<\/p>\n

KTVU reported the incident occurred at East Bay Firewarms in Livermore, California.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old alleged robber came into the store \u201cwearing a mask, gloves, and a hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Livermore Police Department observed that the alleged robber \u201cthen attempted to rob the gun store by taking a firearm while armed with a hammer.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

PSP investigates Carbon County shooting<\/strong>

LEHIGH TOWNSHIP, CARBON COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) announced Monday an investigation into a shooting that occurred on Sunday in Carbon County.<\/p>\n

According to PSP Hazleton, troopers responded to Buck Mountain Road in Lehigh Township,
\nfor a reported shooting on Sunday, October 22.<\/p>\n

Investigators say an argument ensued between David Feliciano, 56, and a 25-year-old man, over family matters.<\/p>\n

Troopers say when the argument escalated Feliciano who was holding a revolver, fired at least one round into the air, then pointed the gun at the man, who then retrieved his firearm, which he legally owns, and fired one round striking Feliciano in the arm.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\n***UPDATE – The gunshot victim in today\u2019s shooting has been identified as Steven Dallas Contestable, 1205 Pinewood Lane, Raleigh.<\/p>\n

According to police, Contestable, age 34, was attempting to break into the home along Abercrombie Road when he was confronted by one of the homeowners, who is a legal gun owner. The homeowner gave repeated verbal warnings before shooting Contestable who had broken several panes of glass on the door while attempting to gain entry.<\/p>\n

Based on the results of the preliminary investigation, no charges have been filed against the homeowner.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
