Havelock man faces charges after attempted break-in, shooting by homeowner that led to lockdown at NC Marine Fisheries<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nMOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WNCT) \u2014 A Havelock man is facing multiple charges after officials said he tried to break into a home and was shot by the homeowner.<\/p>\n

Morehead City Police said Timothy Allen Savage, 55, will be charged once he\u2019s released from ECU Health in Greenville after he was shot on Wednesday. It\u2019s the same incident that prompted a brief lockdown of the NC Marine Fisheries.<\/p>\n

Officials said shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, officers with the Morehead City Police Department responded to a home on South 28th Street in reference to a shots fired call. Police said Savage forced his way into the home while armed. He was shot by the homeowner with a pistol. Savage then stole the resident\u2019s vehicle before leaving the scene.<\/p>\n

After he fled the scene, officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Savage was operating at the intersection of Highway 70 and South35th Street, adjacent to the NC Division of Marine Fisheries building.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hastings man shot with BB gun while attempting apartment break-in, police say<\/strong><\/p>\n

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Police said a Hastings man was shot with a BB gun while trying to break into an apartment.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Hastings Police officers responded to Mary Lanning Healthcare for a possible gunshot wound to the head.<\/p>\n

Police said 62-year-old Miguel Gutierrez suffered a BB gunshot to the head. Police then went to the 700 block of St. Joseph Avenue to investigate.<\/p>\n

They determined that while carrying a machete, Gutierrez tried to break into an apartment unit and a resident shot him in self defense.<\/p>\n

After receiving treatment at the hospital, police arrested Gutierrez for use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and terroristic threats.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
