Until someone objects and they do a 180.<\/p>\n<p>In general the &#8220;Squad&#8221; has come down squarely on the side of Hamas. In view of recent news of masscres and even Hamas-murdered children from IDF forces, one would hope that the Democrat leadership would express some displeasure &#8211; even the White House described their statements as &#8220;disgraceful&#8221;, right? Not so:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Members of the far-left &#8220;Squad&#8221; are getting a pass from Democratic Party leadership in Congress over what the Biden administration described Tuesday as a &#8220;disgraceful&#8221; response to the atrocities committed against Israel by Hamas over the weekend, including the execution of children.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News Digital asked House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., to go on the record with their views concerning the comments made by Rep. <u>Ilhan O<\/u><u>m<\/u><a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/ilhan-omar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-ylk=\"slk:Ilhan Omar;elm:context_link;itc:0\" data-rapid_p=\"17\" data-v9y=\"1\"><u>ar<\/u><\/a>, D-Minn.; Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.; Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.; and Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., in the wake of the brutal attacks. Neither would offer a direct response.<\/p>\n<p>Jeffries&#8217; office did not respond to Fox at all, while Schumer&#8217;s office pointed to a statement he released over the weekend condemning a pro-Hamas demonstration in Times Square following the attacks.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/squad-democrats-pass-party-leadership-231528719.html\">Fox News<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Said rally was held by the Democratic Socialists of America, the socialist party to which all six Squad members and which endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2020. In fairness, AOC also condemned the rhetoric at the same rally &#8211; before essentially saying &#8220;Israel started it&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;It should not be hard to shut down hatred and antisemitism where we see it. That is a core tenet of solidarity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The bigotry and callousness expressed in Times Square on Sunday were unacceptable and harmful in this devastating moment. It also did not speak for the thousands of New Yorkers who are capable of rejecting both Hamas\u2019 horrifying attacks against innocent civilians as well as the grave injustices and violence Palestinians face under occupation,&#8221; she added.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/aoc-liberal-politicians-slam-pro-palestine-rally-amid-growing-backlash-bigotry-callousness\">Fox News II<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Then we get backpedaling from the Squad folks themselves:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Detroit, said Wednesday evening her critics are purposefully distorting her position to make it seem she is sympathetic to Hamas and its attacks on Israel, which she called &#8220;war crimes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Speaking to the Free Press, Tlaib ? who is the target of a censure resolution filed by another member of the Michigan congressional delegation for her comments ? said there is no defense for the atrocities committed by the group, which the U.S. government labels a terrorist organization.\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freep.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2023\/10\/11\/rashida-tlaib-israel-hamas-war-crimes\/71148560007\/\">Detroit Free Press<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>She quickly tries to switch topics and blame Israel for the attacks on the Gaza community in a classic case of whataboutism.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>But neither, she added, is there for any extreme retribution exacted by Israel on the civilians in the Gaza Strip from where the attacks were launched or the human rights violations committed by Israel against Palestinians under its control.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.freep.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2023\/10\/11\/rashida-tlaib-israel-hamas-war-crimes\/71148560007\/\">Detroit Free Press<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And of course there is the bastion of calling out subversives, the Southern Poverty Law Center:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a\u00a0left-wing organization\u00a0that tracks and labels so-called &#8220;hate groups&#8221; across the country, is remaining silent on whether Black Lives Matter (BLM) and the Democratic Socialists of America&#8217;s (DSA) actions following Hamas&#8217;s deadly attack on Israelis raise &#8216;hate&#8217; concerns.<\/p>\n<p>BLM Grassroots called the Iran-backed terrorist group&#8217;s attacks &#8220;desperate acts of self-defense.&#8221; The DSA promoted a New York City pro-Hamas rally and said the incursion was a &#8220;direct result of Israel&#8217;s apartheid regime.&#8221;\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/splc-silent-whether-blm-dem-184632219.html\">Fox News III<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Moms asking about pedophile textbooks &#8211; dangerous subversives. Baby-beheading supporters &#8211; nada, nic, ni&#8217;chevo, rien, nothin&#8217;.
