Phoenix police say a homeowner shot and killed an intruder late Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Police were called to a home near 17th Avenue and Coolidge Street, which is south of Camelback Road, around 11 p.m. for reports of a shooting.<\/p>\n

Officials learned a man, identified as 30-year-old Ricky Gomez, had forced his way into a home in the area and the man living at the home shot him. Gomez died from his injuries at a hospital.<\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nSAN ANTONIO – A woman was taken in for questioning by police after a man was found dead inside an East Side home.<\/p>\n

Police were called out around 11 p.m. Thursday to a home off Denver Boulevard near Interstate 37.<\/p>\n

When officers walked inside the home, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest and several cuts to his arms. The woman told investigators that the she was being assaulted by the man and shot him in self defense.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
