Should have been a routine incident – a hypolycemic girl at the White Deer rodeo Saturday night had an “incident ” and needed medical assistance.\u00a0 Fortunately, the cops who showed up all were medical experts able to handle the situation coolly and calmly, and were able to assess the status of those trying to help her instantly (and find them wanting.)<\/p>\n
In a Facebook post, Linda Dianne Shouse, a home healthcare and traveling nurse, said her 15-year-old relative was \u201cseizing due to possible hypoglycemia\u201d Saturday night at the White Deer rodeo, about 45 miles northeast of Amarillo, Texas.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were just waiting for EMS to get there. The police came up, the deputies, highway patrol, and everyone was just screaming, \u2018Get back, get back, get back,\u2019\u201d she said during an interview.<\/p>\n
Shouse said she was pushed back and then punched in the chest by a woman and said she saw a law enforcement official screaming in Jackson\u2019s face, telling him to \u201cGet the f**k back.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was trying to tell them that he was a doctor and probably trying to tell him who he was, to be honest. And they were screaming that they did not effing care who he was,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd the next thing I knew, they had him on the ground, grabbed him by the shirt, threw him on the ground, face first into the concrete and had him in cuffs.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
