Cisneros has been in the role since August 2021. No nominee was named to replace him.<\/p>\n<p>During his tenure as the Pentagon\u2019s personnel chief, Cisneros worked on numerous hot-button social issues, including the Pentagon\u2019s newest abortion policy for military personnel, which covers travel costs and time off for troops who travel out of state due to abortion restrictions or bans in the state where they are stationed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[H]e was a steadfast and faithful servant in the department\u2019s mission to take care of our people,\u201d Austin said in a statement. \u201cHis commitment to the \u2018people first\u2019 approach helped the department improve the quality of life of our service members and their families.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/news\/your-military\/2023\/07\/31\/pentagon-chief-of-personnel-diversity-and-inclusion-to-depart-post\/\">Military Times<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Well, bye.
