{"id":144983,"date":"2023-07-28T08:12:59","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T12:12:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=144983"},"modified":"2023-07-28T02:33:00","modified_gmt":"2023-07-28T06:33:00","slug":"trouble-in-tuberville","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=144983","title":{"rendered":"Trouble in Tuberville ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tommy Tuberville has been making some headlines because he has been holding up the promotions of many military General Grade Officers.\u00a0 He believes there are too many high ranking military members on active duty.<\/p>\n<p>The United States Marine Corps is currently without a Commandant.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Tuberville also objects to the military paying for abortions for those who must travel outside of the state they are currently stationed because it is not longer offered in that state.<\/p>\n<p>The horror of it all.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the Shills for Democratic Demagoguery are acting out.\u00a0 It&#8217;s all so predictable.<\/p>\n<p>I have been forwarded numerous claims that Senator Tuberville has made about his fathers military service.\u00a0 The moment I see shills like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/people\/glenn-kessler\/\">Glenn Kessler<\/a> doing so called &#8220;Fact Checking&#8221; about things they are ignorant of,\u00a0 I know the truth lies in the opposite direction.\u00a0 I can count on his ilk to inadvertently point me down the correct path.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"teaser-content grid-center\">\n<div class=\"article-body\" data-qa=\"article-body\">\n<p class=\"wpds-c-cYdRxM wpds-c-cYdRxM-iPJLV-css overrideStyles font-copy\" dir=\"null\" data-testid=\"drop-cap-letter\" data-el=\"text\"><i>\u201cMy father, Charles Tuberville, made the D-Day landing at Normandy as a tank commander with the 101st infantry. Tuberville Jr., in a relatively consistent way \u2014 that he was a tank commander, that he earned five Bronze Stars, that he participated in the D-Day landing and that he lied about his age to join the army. News organizations have tended to accept Tuberville\u2019s version and either reprint or broadcast it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"null\" data-testid=\"drop-cap-letter\" data-el=\"text\">Please read Shill Kessler&#8217;s &#8220;Fact Checking&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2023\/07\/26\/tubervilles-tales-about-his-father-world-war-ii-have-false-elements\/\">HERE at the WP<\/a>.\u00a0 There are plenty of others out there publishing their own renditions on the matter.\u00a0 I doubt most people really care if there have been some embellishments by a son concerning his fathers military service some 75 years ago.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"null\" data-testid=\"drop-cap-letter\" data-el=\"text\">What bothers me is Tuberville has an entire staff of well paid and Free Labor\u00a0 staffers who could easily\u00a0 get a copy of this fathers service records.\u00a0 Here is a guy who has spent decades in the public eye as a Football Coach and he lacks the ability to comprehend he should not be making statements about his fathers service that can not be backed up by his service records.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"null\" data-testid=\"drop-cap-letter\" data-el=\"text\">Even a caustic crusader of all things conservative like Kessler should check their so called facts a bit more.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"null\" data-testid=\"drop-cap-letter\" data-el=\"text\">Most of the Army personnel records from World War II were destroyed in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.archives.gov\/personnel-records-center\/fire-1973\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a 1973 fire<\/a>, making confirmation difficult.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As we have published many times, those records have been mostly restored from other sources&#8230; making confirmation of service rather routine.\u00a0 Kessler links to the information but just didn&#8217;t take the time to read what it said I guess.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=39667\">From our post HERE:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The damage to archived military records held by NPRC was extensive.\u00a0 Between 16 and 18 million military personnel records for separated military personnel are believed to have been destroyed.\u00a0 Roughly 6.5 million other OPMFs were damaged \u2013 either by the fire directly, or by the huge quantities of water used to extinguish the fire \u2013 but were later recovered.<\/p>\n<p>A variety of means were used to preserve and restore damaged records.\u00a0 Critical records \u2013 an index of the facility\u2019s holdings on magnetic tape, and 100,000+ reels of microfilm containing USAF and US Army morning reports from 1912-1959 \u2013\u00a0 were removed during the fire.\u00a0 Though some degradation of this film had occurred in storage, approximately 95% of it was useable.\u00a0 By lucky coincidence, it also happened to correspond to the area that was most affected by the fire.\u00a0 Alternate sources \u2013 including claims records on-file with the VA, individual state records, Selective Service Records, pay records, and military medical records \u2013 were used to reconstruct records of service that had been destroyed in the fire to the maximum degree practicable.<\/p>\n<p>Not all records affected by the fire were destroyed; many were damaged but either completely or partially recovered.\u00a0 Damaged records were not discarded, but were dried and placed in special storage.\u00a0 Recovery efforts continue today.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kessler seems to be in the business of using smear tactics to get anyone conservative some &#8220;Negative Press&#8221; through his copy and paste &#8220;Fact Checking&#8221;.\u00a0 Tuberville just makes it easy for his critics.<\/p>\n<p>I believe several things to be true in this case.\u00a0 There are too many General Grade Officers in the military.\u00a0 Of this I have no doubt.\u00a0 The Marines will be just fine with an &#8220;acting&#8221; Commandant.\u00a0 \u00a0Quoting the &#8220;Pentagon&#8221; on the matter is like asking my wife if she has a shortage of shoes because she can&#8217;t buy new ones for a while.\u00a0 Additionally, Senators have too many people on their staff and their budget is bloated.<\/p>\n<p>I propose a mandatory 33% reduction in force of pay grades O-6 and up.\u00a0 I would also encourage Tuberville to sponsor a bill that makes a mandatory 33% reduction in staff and budget for all members of Congress law.<\/p>\n<p>Shills like Glenn Kessler are part of the problem and most Americans have grown weary of their repugnant twist on things.\u00a0 Some fact checking on Kessler is full of treasures like this one:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/shillkessler.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-144985\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/shillkessler-300x83.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"83\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/shillkessler-300x83.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/shillkessler-500x139.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/shillkessler-768x213.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/shillkessler.jpg 1231w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since Biden&#8217;s &#8220;crisis&#8221; at the border has long since resolved itself (sarc) I presume Kessler has little to do but &#8220;fact check&#8221; other issues he knows little about and offer more fortune telling.\u00a0 Or as he called it, &#8220;analysis&#8221;.\u00a0 I doubt he would have taken the time to Fact Check\u00a0 Senator Tuberville about anything if the Senators standing on abortion was different.<\/p>\n<p>The Senator&#8217;s father, Charles Tuberville, was a hero.\u00a0 He was wounded in combat and served his country with distinction.\u00a0 I humbly thank him for his service&#8230;
