Donald Trump’s defense team asked for the trial to be conducted after the 2024 Presidential Elections. The prosecution wanted the trial to start in December 2023. The judge claimed that there is a lot of material that must be reviewed. The chosen start date for the trial sets the conditions for this trial to run concurrently with the Presidential Election campaign.<\/p>\n

She noted that in addition to the many documents to review, some 1.1 million pages, and the 9 months of surveillance tapes.
