Seems erstwhile medal-pitching, former Presidential candidate and Save the Planet czar John Kerry has been sparring with the Congress Thursday in his usual open, aboveboard, transparent manner.<\/p>\n
“I just don’t agree with your facts, which began with the presentation of one of the most outrageously persistent lies that I hear, which is this private jet,” Kerry said during a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing. “We don’t own a private jet. I don’t own a private jet. I personally have never owned a private jet.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Sounds a bit butt-hurt to me, but maybe I am assuming.<\/p>\n
Kerry has been widely criticized<\/u> for advocating for drastic climate change rules while also traveling to events on a private jet that was owned by Flying Squirrel LLC, a charter company owned by Kerry’s wife, Teresa Heinz-Kerry, and in which Kerry reported owning a more than $1 million stake on a financial disclosure.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Hmm – a million dollar stake in the company which owns the jet but “we don’t own a private jet.”\u00a0 What’s the penalty for perjury in Congress?<\/p>\n
Fox News Digital exclusively reported<\/u> last year that the Kerry family jet, a Gulfstream GIV-SP, made a total of 48 trips lasting more than 60 hours and emitted an estimated 715,886 pounds, or 325 metric tons, of carbon since President Biden was sworn into office.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

325 metric tons…wow. For someone who says “I don’t own” one, that’s a whole boatload of carbon guilt. But it’s OK, he says – he buys offsets (in other words, spends cash to reap the benefits of what other folks actually, y’know, do.) This is the fella supporting all the radical climate change narrative, right?<\/p>\n
But at least he’s transparent about his staff, right? Talks out of both sides of his mouth on the jet question, but has a clear, concise, staffing plan.<\/p>\n
\nSpecial Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry refused to identify members of his climate team by name after being asked by GOP Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla.<\/p>\n
“Who is your deputy envoy for climate?” Mast asked Kerry while pointing to an organizational chart of Kerry’s office that was mostly filled with blank spaces.<\/p>\n
“<\/i>I have two deputies and they are well known, they’re very experienced people, Rick Duke and Sue Biniaz\u2026 but I’m not going to go through all that,” Kerry told Mast. “I’m not going to fill them in here in this way, because that would be a violation of our process within the State Department.”<\/p>\n
“Your not going to tell us who works in your office?” Mast asked.<\/p>\n
Mast asked Kerry who the principal deputy and chief of staff were in his office and he again declined to say.<\/p>\n
“I am going to go through the normal process,” Kerry said.<\/p>\n
Mast said during the exchange that a FOIA request was submitted in 2021 to get answers about the structure of Kerry’s department and said he was told it would not be answered until 2024.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
