\nGun-toting pregnant woman, husband have shootout with suspects after she was targeted by robbers in north Houston<\/strong>
\nOne man is in custody and a second suspect remains on the run, according to police<\/em><\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2013 Charges have been filed against a suspect after an attempted robbery turned into a shootout involving a couple outside a north Houston gas station Tuesday afternoon, Houston Police Department officers said.<\/p>\n

Mario Ipina Duque, 39, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carry of a weapon. He remains hospitalized at this time.<\/p>\n

According to HPD, a woman who appeared to be eight months pregnant was sitting in her vehicle outside of a store in the 8600 block of Fulton at around 5 p.m. when Duque and another suspect, armed with guns, approached her.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nA concealed carry license holder is suing the city of Chicago and a handful of police officers after she and her son were charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a man who was seen on camera punching the woman before her son intervened.<\/p>\n

Carlishia Hood, 35, and her 14-year-old son were charged with first-degree murder this month for the fatal shooting of Jeremy Brown, 32, on June 18. Just days later on Monday, prosecutors dropped the charges against Hood and her son.<\/p>\n

Now, Hood is suing the city and the officers who arrested her over claims of malicious prosecution, false arrest and intentional infliction of emotional distress, according to CBS News.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Masked Man Gets Shot While Trying To Carjack Undercover Police Officers With a Gun<\/strong><\/p>\n

Louisville, Kentucky \u2014 On June 19, 2023, around 1:32 p.m., two undercover officers with LMPD’s Fugitive Unit were inside a vehicle attempting to apprehend a suspect in an unrelated investigation.<\/p>\n

Officer Hayden was approached by an armed individual on foot, wearing a mask who opened the driver’s side front door and pointed a gun at the officer.<\/p>\n

Officer Hayden fired several rounds from his service weapon, causing the subject, 21-year-old Mark Jaggers Jr. to drop the gun and fall backward.<\/p>\n

After the officer secured the scene to assess for additional threats, he requested other officers in the area to respond.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man shot in reported burglary on Nebula Court identified<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA man who was allegedly shot and killed by a homeowner on Tuesday, June 27 has been identified.<\/p>\n

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), 28-year-old William Zink was identified by the El Paso County Coroner\u2019s Office as the unknown man who entered a home on Nebula Court on Tuesday before being shot by the homeowner.<\/p>\n

CSPD said officers responded to the 700 block of Nebula Court, southwest of Bear Creek Regional Park, just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday in response to a reported burglary. When officers arrived, they spoke with the homeowner who said an unknown man entered his home.<\/p>\n

The homeowner shot the alleged intruder, now identified as Zink, and hit him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
