Quincy man facing charges in Stoughton road rage shooting, crash<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Massachusetts man is being held on $2,500 cash bail after being arraigned Tuesday in connection with a road rage shooting and crash in Stoughton.<\/p>\n

Police say the incident was sparked by an argument between two people in a Canton convenience store.<\/p>\n

Anh Kieu, 39, of Quincy, was arrested Saturday on four counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violations.<\/p>\n

According to police, an argument between Kieu and another man at the 7-Eleven on Washington Street in Canton on Wednesday night led to a shooting and a crash in Stoughton at the intersection of Plain and West streets.<\/p>\n

Stoughton police said the man stated that Kieu pointed a gun at him while in the 7-Eleven, which prompted him to run to his friend’s car.<\/p>\n

The driver of the Nissan then left the parking lot and Kieu, who was driving a Cadillac, followed that car, according to police. The driver of the Nissan told police that out of fear he and his friends were being chased by Kieu, he drove at a high rate of speed.<\/p>\n

Police said the Nissan eventually made it to the intersection of Pearl and Central streets in Stoughton, which is where witnesses said Kieu’s vehicle crossed the double-yellow line into the opposite lane of traffic and pulled up to the Altima. Witnesses told police that Kieu pointed a revolver at the four occupants of the Nissan.<\/p>\n

The driver of the Nissan, whom police said has a valid license to carry and a properly-registered firearm, yelled for his friends to get down. Police said that the man driving the Nissan fired seven rounds into the Cadillac because he was “fearing for his life,” and that one of the bullets struck Kieu.<\/p>\n

Police said the Nissan then fled the scene and Kieu continued to follow them in his Cadillac.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Chicago police: 2 charged in carjacking attempt near Ford City Mall where victim shot suspect<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two people have been charged after an attempted carjacking near Ford City Mall in which the victim shot and wounded one of the suspects, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred Sunday in the 7600-block of South Cicero Avenue.<\/p>\n

Police said the 24-year-old victim was approach by the two suspects, one of whom produced a handgun and fired. The victim returned fire and shot one of the suspects in the thigh, police said.<\/p>\n

Police said the victim is a valid FOID\/CCL holder.<\/p>\n

The two suspects were arrested in the 7400-block of South Cicero Avenue and the 2700-block of West 68th Street Sunday night, police said.<\/p>\n

Tuesday morning, police said, 21-year-old Anton Cheeks and 18-year-old Travell Quadir Deal, have each been charged with attempted vehicular carjacking and are due in bond court Tuesday.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
