One dead after early morning shooting on Broadway<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nashville, Tenn. (WZTV) \u2014 One person is dead and another is hurt after a shooting early Saturday on Broadway.<\/p>\n

Metro Nashville Police say that James Flaherty was shot and killed in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven on Broadway early Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

MNPD says that Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a self-defense claim from Isaac Thurman, who is a security guard at the 7-Eleven. Detectives say that Thurman has told them he was trying to break up a fight between Flaherty and another man when Flaherty began to assault him.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mobile Co. Sheriff’s Office: Man shot and killed in apparent self defense<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nGRAND BAY, Ala. (WPMI) \u2014 The Mobile Co. Sheriff report on a man shot and killed in apparent self defense in Grand Bay.<\/p>\n

According to MCSO, on April 29, 2023, 12:00 am, Mobile County Sheriff\u2019s Office responded to 13750 Fred Freeland Rd, Grand Bay AL in reference to one shot. Deputies made entry into the residence and discovered the victim, Oliver Turner, deceased of an apparent gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

Detectives interviewed the homeowner, 80-year-old Lee Eubanks on scene. Eubanks was elderly and gave a limited statement. Eubanks stated that on this date, Turner had been drinking heavily and acting belligerently. Eubanks stated that Turner was a friend who had been staying at the residence for the past several days. Eubanks stated that on this evening, Turner was acting \u201cout of his mind\u201d and attempted to set the residence on fire with himself, Michelle Jones (Eubanks\u2019 niece), and Jones\u2019s 8 year old daughter inside. Eubanks stated that he was fearful for his safety and Jones shot Turner.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Police: Man shot during home invasion in Rock Island <\/strong><\/p>\n

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) – A man is in critical condition after police say he was shot during a home invasion Friday night in Rock Island.<\/p>\n

Officers responded at 9:37 p.m. to a report of gunfire in the 2500 block of 8th Avenue and found a 19-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

The man was transported to a local hospital.<\/p>\n

According to police, the initial investigation indicated the injured man and several other masked suspects forced their way into a home while using a firearm.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
