\nA lengthy SWAT standoff with a man who has been terrorizing a woman for months ended with police shooting and killing him as he tried to stab a K-9, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

Chief Alan Parker said it began with a call about a possible kidnapping and burglary at a home in the 12700 block of Copper Springs Road near Hodges Boulevard. It came from the woman’s friend about 12:30 a.m. saying the woman could not get out of the home after he forced his way in and was threatening her with a knife. The woman had texted the friend.<\/p>\n

She had ended their relationship but he continued stalking her and had several incidents reported including last December for a domestic battery, February for an aggravated assault and grand theft, March for stalking and a burglary this month, Parker said. Warrants had been issued for his arrest.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Knife-wielding man shot by NYPD charged for stabbing church guard: cops<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe knife-wielding man who was shot by police minutes after he allegedly stabbed a Queens church security guard has been charged, police said Friday morning.<\/p>\n

Richard Moncrieffe, 59, was shot when he ignored officers\u2019 commands to drop the knife outside the First Presbyterian Church on 164th Street in Jamaica around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.<\/p>\n

By Friday morning, he remained hospitalized but was charged with assault, menacing a police officer, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nPolice are searching for thieves who they say stole an estimated two million dimes worth $200,000 from a tractor-trailer in a Walmart parking lot in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

A truck driver who picked up $750,000 worth of dimes from the Philadelphia Mint on Wednesday parked his truck in a Walmart parking lot and went home to sleep before a long drive to Florida. When he went to get the truck the next morning, he found the trailer door open and dimes scattered all over the ground, according to a report by WPVI.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were trying to cross-load the dimes into other things. There are dimes all over the parking lot,\u201d Philadelphia Police Department Captain Jack Ryan told reporters.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
