{"id":139957,"date":"2023-04-14T07:24:31","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T11:24:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=139957"},"modified":"2023-04-13T23:40:32","modified_gmt":"2023-04-14T03:40:32","slug":"argument-over-stolen-valor-preceded-officer-involved-shooting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=139957","title":{"rendered":"Argument over Stolen Valor preceded officer-involved shooting."},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_139958\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-139958\" style=\"width: 240px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/williamrayallen.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-139958 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/williamrayallen.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"135\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-139958\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">William Allen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I doubt any of our regular readers would be shocked at the prospect of Valor Vultures having less than a full bag of brains.\u00a0 Confronting people you suspect of Stolen Valor requires more brains than bravado in many cases.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The two involved in the incident, Marianne Roepe and William Allen, both of Camdenton, had been at Walmart prior to the shooting where someone questioned them about their military service.\u00a0 The pair were wearing fatigues, with guns on the belts, but when a man asked to see their military IDs, they couldn\u2019t provide them.<\/p>\n<p>Roepe and Allen then followed the man to the McDonalds on Highway 54 where they again exchanged words about stolen valor.\u00a0 The pair then left the restaurant on foot.<\/p>\n<div id=\"tncms-region-article_instory_top\" class=\"tncms-region hidden-print\"><\/div>\n<p>When the pair were located, an officer noticed Roepe already had her gun cocked in her holster.\u00a0 Then Allen warned the officers to stay back because they were making him \u201cjumpy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Allen refused to cooperate, and officers eventually used a taser to take him into custody.\u00a0 After the taser was deployed and Allen fell to the ground, Roepe allegedly pulled her weapon from her holster, and pointed it at the officers.\u00a0 One officer responded with three gunshots, striking Roepe in the lower abdomen.\u00a0 She was transported to a Columbia hospital where she was last listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>Roepe is charged with unlawful use of a weapon.\u00a0 Allen is charged with third-degree assault of a special victim.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Stolen Valor, it is always an indication that you are dealing with a deeply disturbed individual.\u00a0 Sadly, I could not find a picture of Ms Roepe but I doubt she is up to posting selfies yet.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Source: <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kjluradio.com\/newsroom\/argument-over-stolen-valor-preceded-officer-involved-shooting-in-camdenton\/article_dc06fd90-d943-11ed-a09e-5fb145efee69.html\">Argument over stolen valor preceded officer-involved shooting in Camdenton | Newsroom | kjluradio.com<\/a><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I doubt any of our regular readers would be shocked at the prospect of Valor Vultures &hellip;
