Man shot while trying to break into Ravenswood business<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHICAGO – An 18-year-old was shot while trying to break into a business Sunday night in the Ravenswood neighborhood.<\/p>\n

The man was found shot in the leg just before midnight in an alley behind a business in the 2600 block of West Lawrence Avenue, according to police.<\/p>\n

Investigators determined a 40-year-old man, who was inside the business, heard noises near the back door and shot the man who was trying to enter, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kanawha deputies say Clendenin-area shooting appears to be self-defense<\/strong><\/p>\n

CLENDENIN, W.Va. \u2014 Kanawha County sheriff\u2019s deputies say they are treating a Sunday night shooting as a case of self-defense.<\/p>\n

Deputies said a 28-year-old man showed up at a residence on Mudlick Road at around 9:00 p.m. Sunday and was \u201cbeing confrontational with everyone at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

Deputies said a short time later his 35-year-old brother shot him in the leg. The man\u2019s injuries are considered non-life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Kanawha County Chief Deputy Joe Crawford said it looks like self-defense right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cPreliminary indications that may be a great possibility but we\u2019re going to collect all of the evidence and submit it to the prosecutor\u2019s office to decide whether to present it to a grand jury,\u201d Crawford said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
