\nA woman known by community members as “grandma” in one Washington, D.C. neighborhood helped put a 15-year-old in the ambulance after he allegedly attempted to carjack her as she was leaving to go to chemotherapy.<\/p>\n

The attempted carjacking occurred on Feb. 17 at around 8:30 a.m. in the 22nd St. Southeast neighborhood, according to the Metropolitan Police Department, which said the 15-year-old suspect entered the senior citizen’s vehicle “demanding keys” to the car. Police say that the victim attempted to pull the teenager out of the car while yelling for help from her family.<\/p>\n

The woman told WJLA that she told the teenager he wasn’t taking her car.<\/p>\n

“Next thing I know, he walked up talking about, ‘give me your keys, I got a gun.’ I said, ‘baby, you better shoot me, because you\u2019re not taking my car,” the woman said.<\/p>\n

After she yelled for help, neighbors in the area came running to her assistance. The teenage suspect attempted to run away, but was caught by neighbors.<\/p>\n

“They caught him and I said, ‘oh, you going to jail today. You definitely going to jail, yes you are,” the woman said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Great for Grandma and the locals, but the teen thug is doubtless already back on the street. This will not be lost on those affected. Perhaps next time a more, ah, organic system of justice will prevail.<\/p>\n

After Fairfax Police Shot And Killed Man In Tysons, Investigators Looking For Eyewitnesses<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFairfax County police officers shot and killed an adult man after a foot chase on Wednesday night in Tysons.<\/p>\n

The two officers, one in uniform and one in plainclothes, chased Timothy McCree Johnson, 37, out of a Nordstrom at Tysons Corner Center after security personnel reported that he was stealing designer sunglasses. According to a statement released Thursday afternoon, the chase continued through the parking garage, across a parking lot, and 20 or 30 yards into a \u201cwooded area.\u201d Police say the officers followed, giving verbal commands throughout to Johnson to get on the ground. Both officers shot their weapons, striking Johnson in the chest once, and rendered first aid until rescue teams arrived.<\/p>\n

After officers shot Johnson, he was taken to a local hospital, where he died. Neither of the police officers were hurt.<\/p>\n

Police said the two officers who shot Johnson were part of the Tysons Urban Team, a unit of the Fairfax County Police Department that patrols the mall.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nPresident Joe Biden\u2019s desire to ban and confiscate black rifles will not matter to the residents of House District 2 in Texas.<\/p>\n

That is because all of the firearms in that district were tragically lost in a string of boating accidents, per a recent resolution authored by state Rep. Bryan Slaton.<\/p>\n

Rep. Slaton, who represents HD-2, was rather candid about the situation that purportedly occurred in Hunt, Hopkins, and Van Zandt counties on Jan. 10, 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am deeply sorry for the citizens of House District 2 for their alleged loss. I filed HCR 54, notifying the federal government of this alleged event because it would not only be pointless for Joe Biden to attempt to confiscate any firearms in House District 2, but it would be incredibly insensitive during this time of mourning,\u201d wrote Slaton.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThe family of Elias Armstrong is furious the man who killed the 12-year-old boy won\u2019t face criminal charges.<\/p>\n

The boy was found shot to death in a stolen vehicle in the 2900 block of West 10th Avenue on the night of Sunday, Feb. 5.<\/p>\n

The vehicle owner, using a phone app, had tracked his stolen vehicle from the 8300 block of East Northfield Boulevard to the area of West 12th Avenue and Decatur Street, where he shot Elias Armstrong.<\/p>\n

The 12-year-old then drove the vehicle a few blocks away, where he died from at least two gunshots.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that if he would have just let the police approach the car and he sat back and waited till they got there, that my son would be alive right now. Since he took the law in his own hands, my son is dead because of him, and nothing is going to happen to him but a pat on the hand,\u201d said an emotional Thomas Armstrong, the father of Elias.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
