Tucker Carlson’s producers were on capitol Hill, taking advantage of the access they received to approximately 41,000 hours of footage. This is footage that the J6 Defendants and others have been calling to be released. The J6 Committee and their allies worked against the release of this footage in favor of showing selected video segments. Tucker Carlson may provide some coverage on some of this footage in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

“I think the public should see what happened on that day. I watched what [then-House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi did, where she politicized it. For the first time in the history as a speaker, not allowing the minority to appoint to a committee,” he told reporters. “We watched the politicization of this. I think the American public should actually see what happened instead of a report that’s written on a political basis.”<\/p>\n

In August, a group of House Republicans demanded that the US Capitol Police release all footage from the day to allow for fair trials in the cases of the over 700 people arrested in connection to the day.<\/p>\n

In a letter sent to Capitol Police Board Chairman William J. Walker, 23 lawmakers said the release of the footage “is absolutely essential to proper governance and truth.”<\/p>\n

“The fact that these tapes have not been released, I think, is just a huge blot on the Department of Justice,” Louie Gohmert told The Washington Times. “It’s just outrageous to the American justice system that they’re not being required to make the videos available.”<\/p>\n

In response to the move, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on Twitter, “For all of you that doubted we would release the tapes. Here you go!”<\/p>\n
