Witness shoots man attempting to steal luxury car at Dallas shopping center, affidavit says<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThere are a lot of new details about how a recent attempted carjacking of a luxury car went down in an upscale area of Dallas.<\/p>\n

Police arrested the three suspects they were looking for, and court documents detail a good lead police had.<\/p>\n

One suspect showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound minutes after the attempted carjacking and shootout last December.<\/p>\n

Police say he was shot by a friend of the Maserati owner they were trying to carjack.<\/p>\n

Three men have now been arrested for their alleged roles in a shootout and botched attempted carjacking at a popular shopping center off Lovers Lane around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 30.<\/p>\n

Lauren Rodriguez works nearby at the Ashe, a cigar and social lounge. She heard the gunfire.<\/p>\n

“Everyone thought it was like done and over with. We thought it was just someone being dumb and just driving by shooting their gun for fun,” she recalled. “But once when you saw the cops go out and the yellow tape, it was something actually serious.”<\/p>\n

Dallas police say three people were leaving dinner at Odelay Tex-Mex when 21-year-old Lequezio Dade, 19-year-old Kylan Owens and 21-year-old Anthony Primers approached them.<\/p>\n

According to an arrest affidavit, “Dade used a rifle held horizontally to violently shove one of the men backward while demanding the keys to his Maserati and his wallet.”<\/p>\n

There was a struggle. Dade fired once. Then, someone with the victim fired their gun at the suspects, but “Dade returned fire, discharging several rounds into a busy parking lot.” <\/p>\n

Then, the suspects took off in a grey Acura RLX.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nAfter fleeing a traffic stop, a woman led a deputy on a chase in Palm Beach County and rammed a stolen U-Haul truck into him before he shot at her, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

Ginger Taylor, 31, was charged with aggravated battery on a police officer, aggravated fleeing and eluding, reckless driving and resisting with violence on Sunday, the Palm Beach Sheriff\u2019s Office said. James Boswell, 27, is also facing charges after deputies found him in the stolen U-Haul truck though it\u2019s unclear with what he has been charged. PBSO said Boswell also had an active out-of-state warrant at the time of his arrest.<\/p>\n

Shortly before 4 a.m., deputies pulled over the U-Haul pickup truck in Royal Palm Beach. That\u2019s when they came across Boswell, who was driving the truck. As Boswell was arrested, Taylor slid into the driver\u2019s seat and fled, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The U-Haul was spotted an hour later at the Royal Inn Hotel, about nine minutes away from the traffic stop. Taylor, again, fled. This time, she rammed the car toward the deputy, authorities said. He subsequently shot at her.<\/p>\n

For the third time, she got away, this time heading north until she crashed into the fence of a home in Loxahatchee. She hopped out of the car and ran toward a backyard.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
