\nA man was shot and killed while breaking into a home after being spotted by a neighbor, according to Houston police.<\/p>\n

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Saxon Dr. near Mangum Rd. in northwest Houston.<\/p>\n

Police said a noise alerted the neighbor that something wasn’t right. When he went out to investigate, he spotted a man breaking into his neighbor’s empty home.<\/p>\n

At some point, the man then lunged at the neighbor. Police said that’s when the neighbor fired a gun, which shot and killed the man.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

DOJ: Dunn County deputy involved in fatal incident<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA Dunn County deputy has been placed on administrative leave after an officer-involved fatal shooting Saturday night, according to the state’s Department of Justice.<\/p>\n

At approximately 9:08 p.m. Saturday, officers conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle near Terril Road and Bongey Drive in Menomonie, according to a DOJ press release.<\/p>\n

“The vehicle involved in the contact was taken during an armed home invasion, where it was reported shots were fired,” the press release states. “During the traffic stop, law enforcement officers from the Menomonie Police Department and the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office discharged their weapons striking the driver of the vehicle. First aid was rendered but the subject died at the scene.”<\/p>\n

No law enforcement personnel were injured during the incident.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
