Well, I knew the CDC article wasn’t terribly surprising. But it just gets better and better. The NY Post has the story on how both of the last two administrations pressured Twitter to censor data they found inconvenient.<\/p>\n

The Biden White House pressured Twitter to both \u201celevate\u201d and \u201csuppress\u201d users based on their stances on COVID-19 \u2014 ultimately \u201ccensoring info that was true but inconvenient\u201d to policy makers, according to the latest edition of the \u201cTwitter files\u201d revealed Monday.<\/p>\n

The coercion campaign during the pandemic began with the Trump administration \u2014 which asked Twitter to crack down on stories about panic buying and \u201cruns on grocery stores\u201d in the early days of the outbreak \u2014 but was stepped up under Biden, whose administration was focused on the removal of \u201canti-vaxxer accounts,\u201d according to The Free Press reporter David Zweig.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Seems like once the politicians get a good thing going, it’s hard not to just keep running with it, eh?<\/p>\n

For example, in June 2021, hours after Biden publicly raged that social media companies were \u201ckilling people\u201d for allowing purported vaccine misinformation to propagate, former New York Times reporter and noted vaccine doubter Alex Berenson was suspended from the site\u00a0and was ultimately banned.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t stop infection. Or transmission. Don\u2019t think of it as a vaccine,\u201d Berenson had tweeted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThink of it \u2014 at best \u2014 as a therapeutic with a limited window of efficacy and terrible side effect profile that must be dosed IN ADVANCE OF ILLNESS,\u201d he also wrote.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Isn’t that more or less what the administration is saying now? Get the shot, it will mitigate the effects of getting Covid and hopefully keep you out of the hospital…make sure you get the latest variant.<\/p>\n

Among those users whom Twitter did clamp down on was Dr. Martin Kulldorff, an epidemiologist at Harvard Medical School who tweeted in March 2021 that people \u201cwith prior natural infection do not need\u201d the COVID-19 vaccine, \u201c[n]or [do] children.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kulldorff\u2019s tweet was flagged by the site as \u201cmisleading\u201d \u2014 even though it was in line with the vaccine policies of \u201cnumerous other countries,\u201d Zweig wrote.<\/p>\n

The latest revelations came after previous \u201cTwitter Files\u201d found the FBI and CIA had meddled in the social media company, and prompted it to bow to political pressure \u2014 including convincing Twitter to censor The Post\u2019s expos\u00e9 in the weeks before the 2020 election detailing how Hunter Biden used his father\u2019s name to secure questionable business arrangements overseas.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
