Reading police: Man fatally shot during attempted home invasion<\/strong><\/p>\n

A man was fatally shot Saturday morning during an attempted home invasion in Reading, police said.<\/p>\n

Investigators gave the following account:<\/p>\n

At about 7 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 1900 block of Lorraine Road for a report of a shooting. They found a man dead inside the home and determined that he was.shot by someone inside the residence during a robbery attempt.<\/p>\n

There is no information on suspects, but police said they do not believe there is any risk to public safety at this time.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

POLICE: Suspect shot and killed after firing at officers<\/strong><\/p>\n

Weatherford Democrat, Texas
\nOne person was shot and killed by police following a pursuit in a reported stolen vehicle Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

Weatherford officers were initially dispatched to the area near York Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle report out of Georgia when a pursuit ensued, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

During the pursuit, the suspect was involved in an accident near the intersection of Ric Williamson Memorial Highway and Mineral Wells Highway. Once the suspect’s vehicle came to rest, police said the suspect exited the vehicle and opened fire on law enforcement.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
