(The Epoch Times)<\/span><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nDoctor Anthony Fauci was asked if he knew of any studies that supported the effectiveness of wearing masks. He apparently was not able to point to any reference supporting such. Ironically, he co-authored a study that indicated that the majority of deaths during the influenza pandemic, that started in 1918, was due to pneumonia. Although masks were not mentioned in the study, the reader could tell that the problems that contributed to strengthening of pneumonia and the weakening of the immune system implicated the wearing of masks during that pandemic.
