{"id":13425,"date":"2009-08-09T16:34:44","date_gmt":"2009-08-09T21:34:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/valorguardians.com\/blog\/?p=13425"},"modified":"2009-08-09T16:34:44","modified_gmt":"2009-08-09T21:34:44","slug":"stolen-flag-returned-to-wwii-vet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.azuse.cloud\/?p=13425","title":{"rendered":"Stolen flag returned to WWII vet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I guess this is one of those things that only happens in Middle America; from the <a href=\"http:\/\/billingsgazette.com\/news\/state-and-regional\/montana\/article_4ea264b4-84a5-11de-b19e-001cc4c002e0.html\">Billings Gazette<\/a>;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A U.S. Marine Corps flag stolen from an 83-year-old veteran who fought his way across numerous islands in the South Pacific during World War II was returned Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The flag taken from Bob McGray&#8217;s front yard last week showed up in a bag hanging from his mailbox with an anonymous note apologizing for the theft and expressing gratitude for McGray&#8217;s service to his country.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I can&#8217;t tell you how happy I am,&#8221; McGray said. &#8220;I&#8217;d like to meet the guy who brought it back.
