Sort of like if they would have funded Ross Perot to steal voters from Bush in &#8217;92? There is a suit alleging the government worked hand-in-hand with social media companies (Meta, Twitter, etc.) to distort and censor attitudes on topics like Covid and Hunter Biden&#8217;s laptop. The list of named defendants is now 62 strong, and includes familiar players like the CDC, Fauci, Psaki, and others.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"caas-xray-entity caas-xray-card caas-xray-card-type-wiki link caas-xray-card-single-entity \" data-entity-id=\"Hunter_Biden\" data-entity-type=\"wiki\" data-sports-player-id=\"\">\n<div class=\"xray-card-content\">\n<div class=\"xray-card-left-column\">Last month, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana granted the two states\u2019 request for depositions from several top-ranking governmental officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, director of White House digital strategy Rob Flaherty, surgeon general Vivek Murthy, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency director Jen Easterly, and FBI supervisory special agent Elvis Chan.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"caas-body\">\n<p>Lawyers for the Biden administration sought to block several of the depositions, including Chan\u2019s. The lawyers noted that Meta, Facebook\u2019s parent company, has said that Chan, an assistant special agent in charge (ASAC), did not advise the company to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on this newly received evidence, the Court should amend the Deposition Order, and withdraw its authorization of a deposition of ASAC Chan,\u201d the lawyers argued.<\/p>\n<p>However, the two attorneys general opposed the motion, arguing they never suggested Chan told Facebook to suppress the story but that the special agent participated in talks that led to the suppression.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMoreover, there are additional compelling reasons to depose Chan\u2014including that he is the principal point of contact between social-media platforms and the FBI Section that combats so-called \u2018disinformation\u2019 on social media; that he routinely organizes and participates in oral meetings with social-media platforms about election-related disinformation; and that he has openly boasted about coordinating with social-media platforms to combat misinformation and disinformation,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"caas-body\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/judge-blocks-biden-admin-attempt-001300954.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall\">National Review via Yahoo<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"caas-body\">\n<div class=\"caas-readmore caas-readmore-collapse\">Yeah, that Biden laptop was all Russian disinformation. Musk already fired the guy in Twitter who helped bury the laptop story &#8211; should be interesting to see how all this plays out.
