I\u2019m thinking of Iraq because that\u2019s where my son died,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Biden offered up the aside as an excuse for the verbal slip. Although Beau Biden served in Iraq, he did not die there. He died in 2015 at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Maryland after fighting brain cancer. He was 46.<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks ago, during a speech in Colorado, President Biden made the same claim.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/video-joe-biden-son-beau-lost-life-iraq-viral-1751433\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/video-joe-biden-son-beau-lost-life-iraq-viral-1751433<\/a><\/p>\n<header class=\"article-header\">\n<div class=\"category\">During that speech, the president said:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"category\">&#8220;Just imagine, I mean it sincerely, I say this as a father of a man who won the Bronze Star, the conspicuous service medal, and lost his life in Iraq.
