Suspect shot by Anderson County Sheriff’s Office deputy after chase<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nA Briceville man was shot in the wrist by an Anderson County Sheriff’s Office deputy after police say he showed a gun after crashing his vehicle during a chase Sunday night.<\/p>\n

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting, which is standard for any shooting involving an officer.<\/p>\n

An officer was on the way to a wreck on Dutch Valley Road around 10 p.m. when he saw a vehicle that was being driven erratically on that road, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. The officer said he tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver didn’t, so the deputy chased him. A spike strip was used on the road by deputies and the man crashed the vehicle near Dutch Valley Road’s intersection with Walden Ridge Road.<\/p>\n

At some point the man displayed a gun rather than saying it was fired at deputies. No deputies were identified by the Sheriff’s Office or TBI.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Man shot dead in NYC while bicycling to shoot someone else: cops<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAt least three people were shot across the city overnight \u2013 including a latex-glove-wearing bicyclist fatally gunned down while pedaling to pull off a suspected hit himself, cops and police sources said. <\/p>\n

The slain 26-year-old man was riding a bike at Crown Street and Rogers Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, around 2 a.m. Tuesday when he was blasted in the head by a drive-by shooter in a dark-colored sedan, cops said. <\/p>\n

The victim \u2013 who had been arrested a dozen times in the city \u2013 was wearing black rubber gloves when he was shot, and investigators believe he had planned to carry out a shooting with two other guys, police sources said. <\/p>\n

He was rushed to the Kings County Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead. <\/p>\n

The shooting is believed to be gang-related. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
